CAPP Candidates Deemed Eligible for Defined License to Date

CAPP assessed a sixth cohort of 18 International Medical Graduate (IMG) physicians in June 2009.

The Credentials Committee of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia met in August 2009, and deemed four candidates to be eligible for a defined license to practice family medicine in Nova Scotia.

These physicians will begin mentored practice in late fall 2009. To date CAPP has assessed 188 candidates; 43 of whom were deemed eligible for a defined license in Nova Scotia. The next assessment date has been confirmed for June 7 and 8, 2010.
